Delete your PausePal account

You can delete your account and the data we hold about you at any time. It takes about a minute.

In the app or on the web

1. Sign in with the email address you signed up with.
2. Open Settings from the top of your dashboard.
3. Tap Delete my account, tick the box and confirm.

Can't sign in?

Email hello@pausepal.co from the address you signed up with, with the subject “Delete my account”. We delete it and reply to confirm, within 30 days and usually much sooner.

What we delete

• Your first name, email address and time zone
• Your times, preferences and intention
• Your sit attendance and streaks
• Feedback you sent and reports you made
• Devices registered for reminders
• Your PausePal updates subscription
• Sign-in links

What happens

• If you have a pal, your sits together are cancelled and they are matched with someone new. They are not told why.
• You are signed out on this device and every other device.
• This can't be undone.

What we keep, and for how long

• Database backups roll off within 30 days.
• Copies of emails we already sent may remain with our email provider for up to 30 days.
• Reports other members made about you are kept for safety, no longer linked to your account.
• Anonymous counts (for example, that a sit happened) are kept, no longer linked to you.
• Your pal keeps their own record of the sits you shared, and emails we already sent them may still show your first name. Your email address is removed from our copies of those.
